As a compliment to our respected oral surgery practice in Houston and Sugar Land, Southwest Oral and Implant Surgery also offers aesthetics services to our patients.
Debra Havelka, R.N. , an experienced nurse with over 25 years in practice, provides BOTOX® Cosmetic and Juvederm® XC injections. Debra takes appointments at Southwest Oral and Implant Surgery’s Greenway Plaza office on Thursdays and at our Sugar Land office on Wednesdays. She sees patients between noon and 6:00 p.m.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a FDA approved prescription medicine that is used to improve the look of moderate-to-severe wrinkles in both men and women. BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles in your forehead, between your brows, and around your eyes (crow’s feet) and works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. Juvederm® XC
is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Juvéderm® XC is used to smooth your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds - the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth) as well as to plump and add volume to your lips. Juvéderm® XC is also used to fill in the marionette lines (vertical wrinkles below the corners of your mouth) and the vertical lines around the lips.
